Evripides Art Gallery
Evripides Art Gallery is housed in the neoclassical building of Heraklitou 10 & Skoufa str., in Kolonaki. It has a long history with the Arts, as it used to host for more than 20 years the “House of Cyprus” (Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens).
From the beginning of 2015, the founders, Nassia and Eirene Evripidou began to intensively plan the design of the Evripides Art Gallery. Their aim was to bring attention to the high artistic value of Greek painting and sculpture, as well as culture in general.
The founders
Nassia Evripidou
Nassia Evripidou was born and raised in Cyprus. She studied Law and Political Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Since her college years her interest in painting and sculpture brought her close to people of thearts. The close monitoring of artistic events in Greece and Europe led her to acquire a special love for Greek artists.
After years of working with Art and its creators, he founded the Evripides Art Gallery, with the aim of essentially supporting Greek artists and their work in Greece and abroad.
Eirene Evripidou
Eirene Evripidou was born in London and grew up in Athens.
She has studied Digital Humanities in London and has worked in related fields in England and Greece.
From a young age, Eirene showed great interest in art and especially in expression through poetry. In addition to poetry, her interests include photography, dance and aerial arts.
Eirene started to become involved with the Evripides Art Gallery in 2015, with the desire to prove that there is another “Greece: The Greece of creation and Art”.
